Overview: What Is the Buy/Sell Feature?

The Buy/Sell feature in Liquidity.io enables investors to trade tokenized private assets directly on the platform.

This feature lets you:

• Buy tokenized shares or assets listed on Liquidity’s secondary marketplace.
  
  
• Sell your holdings when you wish to exit or take profits.
  
  
• Participate in real-time, peer-to-peer trading, similar to a traditional exchange but for private market assets.

It’s designed for speed, security, and seamless execution, bringing liquidity to previously illiquid investments.

How to Use the Buy/Sell Feature

1️⃣ Access the Marketplace

• Log in to your Liquidity.io account.
  
  
• Navigate to the Marketplace tab from the main menu.
  
  
• Browse the Watchlist to find available tokenized assets.
  
  
  
  • Example: LQDTY, real estate-backed tokens, venture assets, etc.
    
    

2️⃣ Select an Asset

• Click on the asset name to go to the Asset Detail Page.
  
  
• Review asset information, past trades, and performance metrics.

3️⃣ Initiate a Buy or Sell Order

Right-hand Trading Panel:

• Action Buttons:
  
  
  • Buy – To purchase more units of the asset.
    
    
  • Sell – To liquidate some or all of your existing holdings.

4️⃣ Set Order Details

Field

Description

Quantity

Number of units you wish to buy or sell.

Price per Unit

The price you’re willing to pay or accept per unit.

Order Type

Limit order (default). Liquidity.io currently does not support market orders for private assets.

Good Till Canceled (GTC)

Optional toggle. If enabled, the order remains active until it’s matched or manually canceled.

5️⃣ Place and Confirm the Order

• After entering your details, click Buy or Sell.
  
  
• A confirmation popup will appear with a summary of the trade.
  
  
• Review the details carefully, then click Confirm to submit your order.

6️⃣ Order Execution

Once submitted, your order will:

• Enter the Order Book for matching.
  
  
• Be visible in your Orders Tab under Pending Orders.
  
  
• Get executed when a matching counterparty places a compatible order.
  
  

If there’s a direct match at your price, the trade may execute instantly.

Managing Your Orders

Action

How to Do It

View Open Orders

Go to the Orders section in your dashboard.

Cancel Pending Orders

Find the order and click Cancel before it gets matched.

View Trade History

Access Trade History to review past transactions.

Important Notes

• KYC/AML Verification: You must complete identity and accreditation checks before trading.
  
  
• Asset Availability: Only tokenized assets listed on the Liquidity.io Marketplace are tradable.
  
  
• Order Matching: Trades are matched peer-to-peer; Liquidity.io does not act as a market maker.
  
  
• Transaction Fees: Fees (if applicable) are displayed at the time of order placement.
